A PhD graduate of Harvard Law School, Pascale is Full Professor and Research Chair in Legal Pluralism and Comparative Law. Pascale teaches Rights and Freedoms and Comparative Family Law at the University of Ottawa. Her publications focus on Islam and Judaism in Western and Middle-Eastern countries, children’s rights, gender equality and secularism. Her work has received numerous awards and international recognition, including the University of Ottawa President’s Award for Excellence in Media Relations (2011), the Canada-Arab Chamber of Commerce Special Achievement Award for Academic Excellence and Contribution to Humanity (2014) and the International Women’s Forum Leadership Program Fellowship (2014-2015). Pascale and her husband are the proud parents of three exceptional boys.
